  • CTE Night

    Shady Spring High School will host our first Career & Technical Education (CTE) night on February 3rd at 5:30 PM

     

    Students who attend will receive free admittance to the boys’ basketball game Shady vs. Philip Barbour @ 7pm, refreshments will be available.

  • Yearbooks
    Yearbooks are currently on sale for $65.00.  After February 14th yearbooks will increase to $70.00.  All orders must be in by April 8th to guarantee a book.  Order forms can be found in Room 290, the front office, or click here.

  • Snowball Dance
    The Snowball dance is February 8th from 7 PM - 9 PM at the Raleigh County Convention Center.  If you have a guest attending from a different school, complete a guest registration form.  Tickets become available for purchase February 3rd  - 7th during lunch.  For more information see Ms. Hegele.

  • Perry Outreach Program
    "Females!"

     

    Females interested in pursuing careers in medicine and engineering are encouraged to attend the Perry Outreach Program on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at WVU Medicine in Morgantown, WV.  For more information see flyer below or your grade level counselor.

  • Governor's Honors Academy
    !!!The Governor’s Honors Academy wants you!!!

     

    If you have a 3.5 GPA (grade point average) or in the top 10% of your class, you have an exceptional chance in Summer 2020 to get a taste of college life on the campus of Marshall University while attending the Governor’s Honors Academy during the week of June 28-July 18.   • Personalized Educational Plan (PEP) Meetings
    Tenth grade parents are encouraged to schedule their child’s Personalized Education Plan (PEP) meeting with Mrs. Paugh, beginning December 9th.  During this time, graduation requirements, current grades, and tentative classes for the 11th and 12th grade year will be discussed.  Appointment hours are from 8:00 – 2:00 Monday through Friday.

  • After School Tutoring
    After school tutoring with Mrs. Stevens will begin Tuesday, November 5th in the library.  Tutoring is from 2:30 - 3:30 every Tuesday and Thursday, if interested sign up in Room 249 or come to the library at 2:30.  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Stevens.

  • Parking Pass
    All students who drive to school must display their parking pass in the window and it must be visible.  Mr. McKinney checks the parking lot daily and will begin issuing warning citations.  Violation citations will be issued beginning Tuesday, August 27th .
