Ghent Elementary families: We are asking for your support with ongoing restroom concerns at school. Across grade levels, we are seeing inappropriate behaviors such as messes left on floors, water splashed around sinks, climbing on stalls, and other misuse of facilities. Please speak with your child about using the restroom responsibly and respectfully.
On our end, staff will be closely monitoring restrooms before and after class use, and individually as needed. We hope to only continue these stricter procedures for the next two weeks, but will extend them if necessary. Thank you for your partnership in helping us keep our school clean and safe for everyone.

Due to the Spring Party on Friday, we will be selling ice cream TOMORROW (Thursday, 3/26) instead of Friday.

The Glow Party is this evening from 5:30-7 for GES students! Entry is free, but see the concession and glow item prices attached!
Reminder: The Reading Fair is during school on Friday, and the Glow Party is from 5:30-7 Friday evening!
The Raleigh County Art Show that was planned for this evening has been postponed until tomorrow. 20 students from Ghent have been chosen to display their art work. The show is from 5:30-7pm at The Beckley Art Center located at 600 Johnstown Road.
Join us for a GLOW PARTY on March 20 from 5:30-7:00. Entry is free, and each student receives a free glow stick! Other glow items and concessions will be sold. See flyer for more details.
DON'T FORGET: We have Parent Shop Night tonight from 5:30 to 7:30 for the Book Fair! You will enter through the front door and follow the signs to Room 8!
We will let people in the front door for Grand Pals Day at 8:55. Please do not stand outside and freeze before that! We will let people in this afternoon starting at 1:10. Thank you!

1) Make sure your Parent Pick-Up number is visible in your windshield in the afternoon. If you need a new one, please contact the office.
2) If you arrive for Parent Pick-Up and there is no more room in the line, please find a parking spot or leave the property & return after 3:20. We CANNOT block Route 19 or the entrance/exit for buses.
3) Don't forget about our morning and afternoon traffic patterns. I am attaching those to this message.

Our Lost & Found is almost full! It's been rolled over to the office door in the hallway. Have your kiddos check it next week to see if any of their lost treasures can be found!
Jump Rope for Heart is tomorrow! All students need to wear tennis shoes to school so they can participate! All donations are also due tomorrow.
