I have been an educator in Raleigh County for over 10 years.  I am an Apple Distinguished Educator, that loves to create unique learning opportunities for our students.  Over the past two years our team has worked hard to create a virtual learning program for students in Raleigh County with access to certified teachers for live instruction and tutoring.  In Raleigh County, we strive to make a difference one student at a time, and feel that providing a virtual option is key to many students' success.  I am so excited to be apart of your virtual learning journey!

This is my 34th year teaching mathematics in Raleigh County Schools and my third year teaching computer science at WVU-Tech. I have a Ph.D. degree in Education with a specialization in Instructional Design for Online Learning, a M.S. degree in Education with a specialization in Educational Computing, a B.S. degree in Mathematics/Computer Science, and a B.S. degree in Secondary Mathematics Education. I absolutely love math and technology! I decided to become a teacher because I wanted to make a real difference in students’ lives by showing them that I care about their well-being and also about the importance of having excellent math skills. I love to see students’ eyes light up when they “get” a concept.

I have been teaching for Raleigh County Schools for just over 15 years. I am a virtual instructor and thoroughly enjoy helping students reach new heights of learning on the virtual platform. I teach ELA at the secondary levels and currently am teaching elementary ELA. I love to write, and writing is truly an art that can change people for the better. Only you can tell your story, but I can help you gain the necessary skills to effectively do just that!

This is my 12th year working as a Special Education teacher in Raleigh County Schools. I am a National Board Certified Teacher specializing in Exceptional Needs, Early Childhood to Young Adulthood.  As a virtual instructor, I strive to help my students achieve success and meet their goals based on a plan that is individualized to their needs. For whatever reason a student's journey has led them to virtual learning, I am excited to be a part of it :)
